The Story So Far...

So Were do I begin, I have been working on the design for my board game for just over a month and have a lot of the games mechanics well into development, but I feel it needs a bit more fine tuning too make sure it runs smoothly and remains close to its core simple values. Otherwise the game could mutate and evolve into an unplayable monster which laughs at its players as they read though the Bible sized rule book and watches friends slay each other over the first roll of the dice. :-D

I have begun some character designs with the artist Mario Nunes a super awesome guy who is from the beautiful and much Sunnier than Ireland, Portugal.  Together we have been passing back and forth the concept designs and have a hand full at a stage were they are ready to be placed into a nice fantasy forest ready for battle and the quest for glory!!

These first Four characters are the core to any fantasy game, the Dwarf Bandit, the Female Thief, the Heroic Warrior and the Mystical Witch.

 This Badass is Angus Flint, a bit of an unsavoury character who's two loves in life are treasure and big fat cigars. Angus is one of the few Dwarfs left in the Kingdom of Oak Thorn ever since the gold and gem mines dried up. But Angus' love for Oak Thorn Cigars and the exotic Lillyworth Traven have made him a long term citizen and expert treasure hunter.

Ruby Shadowblade is a master thief whose quick wit and fast hands have made her a legend in the light forest, wanted by the kings guard for countless crimes against the Royal treasury its highly advised you keep your hands by your sides and an eye on your pockets when encountering this nimble thunderbolt.



Once thought to be the future successor to the Kings Hand Tharodrim Sliverlay soon realised the ever growing greed of the King was quickly poisoning the Kingdom of Oak Thorn, Having left the kings guard and now seen a traitor to the throne Tharodrim resides in the Oak Thorn forests protecting the innocent and seeking the cure to the poisonous greed that pollutes his once beloved kingdom. Only the Kings guard receive this augmented armour, The Kings mage enchants each suite with a fire stone, But as the kings guard hold no mage abilities they have no way of utilizing the power of the stone, so instead the armour has been designed to channel the fire stones magic to each arm, one arm to power his fire sword and the other arm to power his fire shield which can also be used as a power fist.

Arya Stillheart a long time dweller of the dark forest and a water mage, Ayra's long term goal is to master the a cult and become the unstoppable ruler of the dark forest , when first beginning her training she heard legends of rare and powerful artefacts which have long been lost in the Ancient Oak Thorn forest and are thought to be guarded by powerful Beast, Spirits and Monsters.

Oak Thorn Forest is as old and as Ancient as the Gods who created it. A strange twisted place where time loses all meaning and things never seem to stay the same. Each Hero with their own quest at heart, can you seek your fortunes and become a legendary hero in the Oak Thorn forest??
